What Is a Lie?
A lie is like a murder,
where the weapon cannot be found,
the perpetrator unknown,
until the very end.
A body found naked,
locked in a silent scream,
not a trace of evidence,
on the bloody, bruised human being.
A lie is a killer,
that everyone thought a friend,
that seems innocent enough,
until you go beneath the surface.
A lie is a Scream,
silly sometimes, scary,
silent, stentorian, strong.
A lie is like a magic trick,
full of mystery, deceit,
hurt and confusion.
A lie is a war,
that turns friends to foes,
families to strangers.
A lie is like a a shadow,
you know that it is there,
but it can come and go,
with the changing of the light.
A lie is for the night,
hidden from view until closer inspection,
no one can see your deceit until daybreak,
but by then it is too late,
it is out of your hands.
A lie is like a rock slide,
all it takes is a pebble,
a small white lie,
to start a dangerous disaster.
A lie is word that cannot be erased,
once said there is no delete button,
no white out,
no nothing.
A lie is something that can skewer a heart,
hurt worse than a broken bone.
A lie is something that cannot be described,
just any one way.
I have just one more thing to say,
What is a Lie?
